Are you a researcher, professor-researcher or member of a research team and want to give practical application to your scientific results? The European competition Deep Tech for Impact launches its call for applications for its edition 2026.
This competition is aimed at research teams that develop innovations with high potential, without the need for entrepreneurial experience or start-up.
A competition dedicated to breaking innovations
The competition Deep Tech for Impact aims to support research projects wishing to take a new step towards technology transfer and the exploitation of their results.
Eligible projects must be at a level of technological maturity TRL 2-3 or higher.
Thematic 2026
« Sovereign Innovation – Building a resilient future for Europe »
Projects should be included in one of the following areas:
- Energy
- Security
- Economy
- Critical infrastructure
Why participate?
Selected teams will benefit from:
- a visibility at European level ;
- of the meetings with industrial partners, including Siemens Energy;
- one support to accelerate technology transfer ;
- support to explore opportunities for valuing their work.
The competition is an excellent opportunity to publicise your research, develop your network and prepare for future collaboration with industrial players.

- Place: ZOLLHOF Innovation Center, Nuremberg, Germany
Who can apply?
The competition is open to:
- research teams;
- laboratories;
- researchers and teachers-researchers;
- research group leaders;
having developed a deep tech innovation with potential impact.
No experience in entrepreneurship or entrepreneurship is required.
