The French cosmetics industry is a world leader and is now the country's leading exporter. In an increasingly competitive international context, particularly in the face of the rise of Asian markets, maintaining this strategic position requires accelerating innovation and strengthening synergies between public research and industry.
In this dynamic, COSMETIC VALLEY joins the University Innovation Centres (PUI), led by French universities and bringing together major public research organisations such as CNRS, INRAE, INRIA, to launch this MAI for researchers.
Objectives of the MAI:
- Strengthen research on the various themes of interest to cosmetics.
- Identify emerging research projects relevant to the sector.
- Develop links between the French public research ecosystem and the cosmetic industrial sector.
Eligible audiences:
Researchers, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows from a variety of disciplines:
- Nature sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, microbiology, epidemiology, environmental sciences, etc.)
- Formal sciences (mathematics, statistics, computer science, etc.)
- Human and social sciences (history, psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, etc.)
Follow-up to applications:
- Accompaniment towards application development opportunities in cosmetics.
- Exchanges around the valorisation and application vision of topics.
- Linking with public or private partners.
- Identification of funding arrangements appropriate to the next steps in R&D.
- Possible participation, on May 18 and 19 in Orléans, to two days of exchange with the academic cosmetic network within the framework of the GDR Cosmactives in Orléans.
