Wednesday 12 June 2024 was held at the International Research House of CY Cergy Paris University, Neuville, the evening of CIREX. Organized within the framework of the POI CY Transfer, this evening was a moment of retrospectives of projects funded by CY Initiative under the CIREX scheme.

Opened by Laurent Gatineau, President of CY Cergy Paris University and Roméo Tédongap, Director of Research at the ESSEC Business School, the evening of CIREX was then moderated by Olivier Romain, Vice President Innovation and Transfer of CY Cergy Paris University and Coordinator of the POI CY Transfer, and Olivier Fourcadet, Professor and Head of the ESSEC Food Chair.

Teams of CY Cergy Paris University and ESSEC, POI CY Transfer, industry, POI and even a few media like IDFM Radio were present to discover or rediscover what is this unique agile and fast financing mechanism that allows to boost innovation projects.

Inspiring testimonies such as that of Jean Garrec, president and founder of the Biophtha start-up, who spoke about his partnership with public research, and of three teachers-researchers (Olivier Fourcadet de l-ESSEC, Hajer Baazaoui and Valérie Becquet de CY Cergy Paris Université) who highlighted their projects within the framework of CIREX, while showing the levers and facilities for implementing the scheme.

This unique, integrated POI CY Transfer offers new prospects not to be missed! The evening ended with discussions with researchers who presented their projects on posters in exhibition mode, around a friendly barbecue.

Many thanks to all participants for having responded to the invitation. This evening of meetings has allowed a lively dialogue between companies and academia, and shows how many assets there are to work together.
