Interview with Christelle Ventura, Doctor of Social Anthropology and Ethnology of the EHESS (2006), who joined the team of the POI CY Transfer early May 2024.
Could you describe in a few words your professional career until today
After starting a career in basic research at EHESS, I joined the SATT IDF Innov (Erganeo) in 2013, where I defined and implemented the socio-economic exploitation of SHS research (Human and Social Sciences).
In 2019, I took my first steps in CY Cergy Paris University, where I became the first Executive Director of theEUR (University Research School) Humanities, Creation, Heritage. In particular, I led the consortium and developed the PhD through the project.
In parallel, I co-founded Humalis in 2020 to build and strengthen the links between actors in the world of SHS research and socio-economic activity.
Then in 2023 I took the Directorate of Science Life and Partnerships for the public establishment Campus Condorcet and I participated, inter alia, in the programming and production of the First edition of the Spring of Humanities festival.
Today, new appointed Deputy Director of CY Transfer, I am in charge of the development of the human and social sciences with the mission to raise awareness of researchers, students and entrepreneurstechnological and non-technological innovation, detect and accompany projects with high societal impact and Economic of the Territory.
Could you tell us more about the major projects that await you as part of the University Innovation Centre CY Transfer ?
My objectives are to develop the strategic axis of POI around the SHS valuation from the consortium's research structures and to accompany start-ups with high societal impact, from the territory.
My six priorities are:
- Achieving innovation and non-technological innovation SHS researchers, students and entrepreneurs
- Professionalizing valuation by raising awareness among staff and investors of the contribution and impacts SHS
- Improve sourcing by working on definitions of deliverables, intellectual property and identification of possible markets as soon as they are detected
- Diversify prematurization programs and tools dedicated to SHS disciplinary fields with a specific fund
- Accompany on projects with high impact prior to and after startup creation with targeted and tailored reflection for SHS
- Develop incubator SHS of MIR SHS
