Creation of a new CIREX Chair and a BOT educational system research programme for excellence research at the heart of digital literacy in health and respecting user rights. Co-funded by CY Initiative and the Léonie Chaptal Foundation, the Chair aims to innovate and improve access to health and care.

CY Cergy Paris University and Fondation Léonie Chaptal combine their expertise

The Léonie Chaptal Foundation, a centenary institution named after the visionary architect of the nursing profession, and CY Cergy Paris University, combine their expertise to innovate and serve the long-term improvement of patient care and health, as part of the social and digital transition in health.

CIREX Chair provides financial support for innovative scientific projectsthrough the CY Initiative, at a time when the digital transition to health impacts the rights, uses, capacities of patients and their caregivers, as well as the learnings of students and future health professionals.
The Direction of the Chair « journey and digital health » is entrusted to Hajer Baazaoui, teacher-researcher at the ETIS laboratory (Equipes Information Processing System – CYU – CNRS-ENSEA).


A Chair in Shared Objectives in the National and International Health Science Community

The current digital transition in health questions the ability of the technology and health sectors to combine sustainably to develop research of excellence and an educational, technological, ethical and effective partnership system.

Since 2018The Léonie Chaptal Foundation, a partner of CY, brings together international scientific experts in the various disciplines of health and innovation. This prospect of developing innovative thinking and action programmes is called "Digital Health Literacy". It focuses on a global issue of access to prevention and care rights.

The CHAPTAL Chair-CYU The aim is to develop and promote innovative research on 3 areas of excellence :

  • research into the inclusion of BOT system and AI (Artificial Intelligence) associated with learning, support for care and prevention intervention, support and guidance of patients and caregivers,
  • research into new IOT (Internet of Things) devices for telemedicine and home care (telemonitoring, tele-expertise, tele-assistance) to question the quality and performance of data collection systems, with a view to improving follow-up, the provision of information, care and the improvement of home autonomy,
  • research in the design and development of new expertise and curricula of excellence, in the e-health sector with the aim of accompanying and supporting the emergence of new professions, new organisations.

An ongoing operational research program: BOT Health Education Assistant

The research programme « BOT health education system » aims to develop, in accordance with the scientific and regulatory issues of the doctrine of digital health, a BOT system – automatic software agent – with artificial intelligence in deep learning to customize information to users.

This research is part of the complexity and non-accessibility objective. des documents et communications du secteur sanitaire (complexité lexicale, manque de temps d’éducation thérapeutique, diversité des acteurs et des dispositifs de soins et de prévention), par la performance technologique et le développement d’IA. La démarche s’inscrit dans une perspective éducative de parcours et d’interfaces personnalisés, adaptés aux contraintes et aux handicaps des patients ainsi qu’à ses aidants, pour garantir le consentement libre et éclairé des actes et traitements qui lui sont proposés dans le cadre de son parcours (conformément à la loi de 2002). Elle a également vocation à améliorer les capacités d’accueil, d’information, d’orientation et d’accompagnement continu en réponse au référentiel qualité ESSMS défini par la Haute Autorité de Santé française.


Le CIREX, un accès privilégié à l’expertise des chercheurs de CY : du projet à la réalisation

Le CIREX est un dispositif développé par CY pour ses chercheurs, permettant de cofinancer des projets (projet CIREX) ou des programmes (Chaire CIREX). Il contribue au développement de la recherche partenariale en lien avec le monde socio-économique et au potentiel de transfert et de valorisation.

Le soutien financier accordé est de 4 ans. CY Initiative contribue à hauteur de 30 % du coût du personnel recruté, et l’entreprise prend en charge les 70 % restant, ainsi qu’un abondement minimal de 15K€ par an pour le fonctionnement. Ce soutien financier est accordé pour la durée du projet CIREX, ou 4 ans pour les Chaires CIREX.

Le dispositif CIREX permet l’accès aux ressources de CY Cergy Paris Université, aux 5 parcs d’équipement de pointe (CY Genius Platforms), aux 25 laboratoires de recherche (dans les domaines des sciences expérimentales, des sciences humaines et sociales, ainsi que des sciences de la modélisation), aux 36 familles de brevets actifs, et à plus de 1200 enseignants-chercheurs.


CY Transfer, une équipe dédiée pour accompagner la valorisation et le transfert des savoirs

CY Transfer est la nouvelle Business Unit de CY Cergy Paris Université. Elle a pour rôle d’accompagner la valorisation et le transfert de savoirs avec divers partenaires industriels, étatiques et académiques, afin de développer des initiatives et projets permettant le partage des savoirs avec la société et le monde de l’entreprise, au sein de la communauté scientifique.
L’équipe met en relation les laboratoires et les plateformes technologiques de CY avec différents acteurs nécessitant des prestations, des équipements et un personnel spécifique, dans les domaines de la sécurité, des cosmétiques, de l’environnement, des matériaux, de la chimie et de la biochimie, de l’agroalimentaire, de l’automobile, de l’aéronautique et de l’aérospatial, ou encore dans le domaine médical.

The enhancement of the Human and Social Sciences, a unique characteristic, unique to the PUI CY Transfer.

In its strategy, the PUI CY Transfer has a special interest in the Human and Social Sciences: it is on its territory the operator of their socio-economic development.
